The softball team split the doubleheader with Mendon last night. Cassidy Conley pitched a gem in game 1, going 5 innings and allowing only 1 earned run in the win. Annie Mansfield and Yasmine Cameron each hit doubles, and Mikayla England had a hit, run, and stolen base. In the second game, Annie Mansfield had two hits and Callie Kilduff had 2 RBI in the loss. We face Portage Northen in Districts at home next Tuesday.
Loy Norrix JV Baseball concluded there season on a high note sweeping Three Rivers on Tuesday.
In game one Sophomore Grant Miller dominated. He went 2 for 2 at the plate along with pitching a complete game 3 hitter while punching out 9 wildcat batters on the way to a 1-0 victory.
In game 2 the Knights jumped on the wildcats early on their way to a 7-1 victory. The Knights recorded 8 hits in the game led by Sophomores Aiden Miller and Sean Mason along with freshman Gabriel Flores who all recorded multiple hits for the Knights. Freshman Tony Parlato was credited with the victory for the Knights pitching 3 innings and striking out 2. Freshman Gavin Gardner pitched 2 innings in relief out of the bullpen. The Knights finish their season 16-7. Great job boys! Go Knights!

Winchell Elementary is inviting Winchell alumni who are graduating high school this year to be clapped out on May 31st, at 3:45. Grads are asked to wear caps/gowns and bring a sign showing their future plans. Grads are asked to arrive by 3:35 for a group picture. Parents are welcome to attend. Please spread the word!
Anyone interested in trying out for volleyball in the fall there will be an informational meeting on May 29th at 6:30 in the Loy Norrix Gymnasium.
The Boys Basketball will have a tryout for the June Summer League Teams.
We will have a Varsity team and a JV team. The tryouts will be immediately after school June 3 and June 4 from 2:45-4:30. Practices and games will run from June 5- June 28. If you played a sport this school year, that physical is good. If you do not have a physical turned in, please do so ASAP. You cannot participate without a physical. If you are registered for A.P. English Lit. next school year, there will be two opportunities to receive the summer assignment: Wednesday, June 5th OR Thursday, June 6th. You only have to attend one day. Both meetings will be held in A-10 with Ms. J. Johnson, starting immediately at 2:25. The meeting will not last longer than 30 minutes.

Want to join Yearbook staff? The deadline for applications to join Yearbook next year has been extended until May 31st. Pick up an application from outside of room K3 or the guidance office. Applications require two teacher recommendations. You cannot be in Yearbook class without submitting an application.
