The men’s and women’s cross country teams capped off their 3rd meet in 8 days this past Saturday in Jackson. In spite of the heat, the teams ran well. 10 out of the 14 runners on varsity ran season bests. Dustin Keltch, Julia Pinkster, Joy Hart, and Ashley Keltch ran the best times of their lives. Ashley even improved by over 2 minutes. The teams get this week off but compete in Battle Creek in the last divisional jamboree next Tuesday.
The Peacejam meeting about the trip to India is going to be held on Wednesday September 27th at D & W on Romence Road from 6pm to 7pm. Come learn about this amazing trip and fundraisers to help you get there.
Students anyone with multiple tardies, taking multiple lunches, and/or Category 2 referrals will not be able to take part in after school homecoming activities, this includes the game and dance Friday night. Make good decisions this week!
Upward Bound will be meeting in the Four Corners Conference Room from 2:30 to 4:30 every Monday and Wednesday.
The Peacejam Winter Wear Drive and help for Florida and Texas Hurricane victim Drive will began today and end Friday, Oct 6th. We will have pick-ups for your clothing items on both Friday’s. Please count your items if possible as it makes a double check on the numbers for us. The winning class and 1st runner up will receive Rykse’s cinnamon buns and juice from Peacejam to thank you for helping to make a difference in the lives of others.
There will be no AAC this week on Monday and Wednesday due to staff meetings. We will have AAC on Tuesday and Thursday but there will be no testing room.
It is time to clean your closets of unwanted or outgrown clothes- summer wear for Texas and Florida and winter wear for our CIS and individuals in our community that will be in need of winter items. Bring these items to your 1st block Monday through Friday, October 6th. The winning class will receive Rykse’s cinnamon buns.
