SSR is during 5th block today.  Enjoy 15 minutes of reading enjoyment.

There will be NO AAC today due to meetings, Tuesday the 10th.  Do not miss your bus.  AAC will resume tomorrow.

Snack and study will take place today from 2:30 to 3:30 in the cafeteria. All freshmen are welcome!

Attention students taking the PSAT on Wednesday – report to the back gym no later than 7:30am.  If you have a graphing calculator please bring it and be prepared to turn in your cell phone during testing.  Do not be late to take the test!

Are you interested in LGBT activism and social justice? Then come to the Loy Norrix Gender and Sexuality Alliance in room B-21 Friday after school from 2:30-3:30. See you there.

Interested in playing softball? Just want to get in shape? Try the softball strength and conditioning challenge! Meet in the weight room every Tuesday and Thursday after school for 4 weeks. There are prizes for personal growth and completing the challenge. Bring a friend and come push each other to be healthy and strong. The first day is TODAY. See Coach Johnson in C12 for more information.

Attention juniors! If you signed up to take the PSAT/NMSQT study guides are available in the counseling office & are first come first serve.

There will be a short meeting for all returning baseball players along with those interested in playing this season in the cafeteria immediately after school today, Tuesday, October 10th.

There will be a 2020 executive board meeting today, October 10th at 7am.

If you are competitive, like acting or informing – we have a team for you! Come out and learn about the Loy Norrix Forensics Team! We are a no cut team and want you on our team! This week is Forensics Week — Monday through Thursday 2:30-3:30! We will be covering events, workshop for auditions and announce the team with a pizza party at the end of the week! See Coach Carrow in J11 with any questions!

Our next green school meeting will be Thursday after school in room b-15. Hope to see you there.

Seniors more college visits are being scheduled daily.  Please stop by the counseling office to sign up and watch the TV’s for up-to-date information about these visits.

The winter wear drive is complete but if you forgot and have some to donate please give them to Mr. Johnson, Ms. Claudio or Mrs. May.

The top two classes to receive Ryske’s cinnamon buns are Mrs. Wagenaar and Mrs. Rolfe’s class.

Do you love to read very closely and want to compete in the 2018 MLK Book Quiz Bowl? SAVE THE DATE of Friday, Oct 13th in Coach Johnson’s room for our Informational Meeting from 2:30-3:15.

The Annual Holiday Shopping Trip to Chicago and Michigan City is open to all students, staff and parents.  The cost is $50 for the round trip charter bus.  Tickets and permission slip are now available from Mrs. May. The trip in on Sat. November 18th.
