Today is the last day for the Softball Strength and Conditioning Challenge. Meet in the weight room after school and turn in your tracking sheet to earn prizes. If you missed this opportunity, we will be doing another 4-week challenge after Thanksgiving. See Coach Johnson in C12 if you have any questions.

The Freshman, JV, Varsity Football Banquet is tonight, Thursday Nov 2nd at 7:00pm in the Cafeteria.  Hope see you all there.

AAC will be open today and Monday-Thursday next week.  Please remember that you MUST be in AAC before 2:40.  Monday the testing room will be open in K12 starting at 2:30.

Seniors, are you looking for money for college?? All seniors planning on attending college should complete the FAFSA.  Counselors are hosting a FAFSA Night today, November 2nd from 4:30-6:30.  Please sign up in the Counseling Office.

If anyone would like to come watch the cross country state meet this coming Saturday at MIS, see Coach Schmidt or Savicke for the time and carpool information.

SSR is 3rd block today.

Due to no school for students on Friday- Book Quiz Bowl team members, we will meet on Thursday instead in Coach Johnson’s room.

Travel Club is still signing up students interested in either the Japan or Europe trip.  Scholarships are available and our first big fundraising event will be November 16.  There will be a parent information meeting on November 14 at 7pm in A-12.  Pick up enrollment packets near the cafeteria or Tower area.  3 free college credits could be yours.  See Ms. Van Lieu in A-12.

Do you believe in aliens? Ice Cream? Penguins wearing tutus? Well, if you do or want to know more- come to the Loy Norrix Improv Show next Wednesday, Nov.8th at 5pm in room J12. Tickets are $4 and worth every penny! BE THERE!

Seniors! Please add your input into our 2018 senior Video for our graduation ceremony. Check your student email account for the email with the google forms link from Mr. Aguinaga, and fill out the 3 questions. We want to make the video something to remember!

The Urban Folk Art Exploratory is a nonprofit organization with a mission to provide a voice to the hip hop community while advocating for social change through the arts. We are currently looking for interested students to expand our youth advisory committee and audition for the company playgroup. We are looking for dancers, poets, musicians, actors and visual artists. All students are invited to join a poetry slam fundraiser on November 10th from 6-8pm at 112 W. South St.  If you are interested in more details, handouts will be in the library and in Mrs. Carrow’s room – J11. See her for more details!

Winter sports tryouts dates are coming soon. Do you have all the requirements met??

You must these 4 things turned into the Athletic Office BEFORE tryouts:

*a Physical

* $25.00 Insurance Fee

* Code of Conduct

* Consent form

Don’t miss out on being able to play a winter sport, Stop in the Athletic office during your lunch or before and after school to pick up the forms and return then as soon as possible. If you don’t make team the $25.00 insurance money will be returned.

The tour of Loaves and Fishes, Gospel Mission and the Kalamazoo Deacon’s Conference will be next Thursday, November 9th not this Thursday, Nov 2nd.

Do you have extra towels and blankets at home that you would be willing to have Peacejammers take to the Gospel Mission and the Deacon’s Conference to be given to homeless and individuals in need?  If so please give them to Mr. Johnson in C-12 or to Mrs. May by the C-wing computer lab by next Thursday.
