A reminder to the Forensics Team that there will be a mandatory ALL TEAM

Player at Loy Norrix will be our guest speakers.  All faculty and parents are welcome.

February starts tomorrow, and you know what that means! Valentines Day is fast-
approaching. Do want a fun, thoughtful, and unique way to show someone you care?
Then let the Loy Norrix Choir take care of that for you. We’ll sweetly serenade your
special someone or your friends with a Singing Valentine during classes on February
14.  Singing Valentines cost just $3 for a song and a Hershey kiss, or $5 for a song
and a full-size chocolate bar, and can be purchased during all three lunches. Phone

Your final AP Scholar is Rhiannon Pitcock! Rhiannon is a senior and has successfully
completed AP US History, AP Government, AP Chemistry, and AP Language and
Composition. She is currently taking AP Calculus and AP Spanish. Rhiannon’s AP classes have helped her manage her time more efficiently and given her a better idea of what to expect from a college class. She would recommend AP Chemistry and AP Language. Ms. English and Ms. Witt are both great teachers and the classes are fun. Rhiannon has applied to Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo College, Michigan State University, and University of Michigan. She plans on studying violin performance and mathematics.

The third and final Softball Strength and Conditioning Challenge begins today. Meet in
the weight room after school every Tuesday and Thursday for the next four weeks to get
in shape for the season, and earn prizes for completing the challenge. See Coach
Johnson in C12 for more information

Your AP Scholar for today is Delaney Eller! Delaney is a senior and has successfully
completed AP Chemistry and AP Biology. She is currently taking AP Calculus.  The more challenging work load in her AP classes has forced Delaney to develop better study
habits and manage her time better. She would recommend that everyone take an AP
class at some point since the material is generally more interesting than a regular class.
Delaney has applied to The University of Michigan, Kalamazoo College, & Alma College and her intended study area is pre-med.

Your AP Scholar for today is Desoun Leflore. Desoun is a senior and has successfully
completed AP US History and AP Spanish. He is currently taking AP Calculus. Desoun
feels that his AP classes will help him be more successful in college because they are
so challenging. He would recommend taking AP classes in subjects that you are
interested in since all of his AP classes have been great experiences. Desoun will be
attending Western Michigan University in the fall to study business mathematics.

AP US History and AP US Government. He is currently taking AP Chemistry and AP
Calculus. Since the workload of his AP classes is more strenuous JT has learned how
to manage his time more effectively and feels better prepared for college. He would
recommend taking AP Government because Mr. Wright is a great teacher and you learn
about US politics in a way that is relevant today. JT is planning on attending the Lymann
Briggs residential college at Michigan State to major in conservation biology and
environmental studies.

AP US History and AP English Literature. She is currently taking AP Spanish, AP Biology, and AP English Language. She would recommend AP US History because Mr. Porco is an incredible teacher. Ava plans on attending KCollege next fall.

Your AP Scholar for today is Jordan Williams! Jordan is a junior and has successfully
completed AP US History. He is currently taking AP English Language and AP
Government. Through taking AP courses Jordan has improved his time management and  study skills. He would recommend AP Government with Mr. Wright since you really
learn about our political system and how it relates to current events. Jordan plans on
taking both AP Psychology and AP Calculus next year. He will apply to Michigan State
University and Western Michigan University his senior year to study Graphic Design and
Interactive Media.

Your AP Scholar for today is Ciera McClenton-Langston! Ciera is a junior and has
successfully completed AP US History. She is currently taking AP Language. While
Ciera doesn’t feel that her AP classes have been extremely hard, they have been
challenging and move at a faster pace. She has had to study more, learn how prioritize, and manage her time better. She would definitely recommend taking an AP class in a
subject that interests you or that you have excelled at in the past. Ciera is not sure
where she will apply to college next year, but plans on majoring in business and minoring in communication.
