There will only be AAC on Monday, the 29 th and Tuesday the 30 th next week. Make
sure you bring work to complete and supplies. There is NO AAC Wednesday the
31st or Thursday the 1st due to conferences. You will need to take the bus home.
The third and final Softball Strength and Conditioning Challenge begins next Tuesday,
January 30 th . Meet in the weight room after school every Tuesday and Thursday for the
next four weeks to get in shape for the season, and earn prizes for completing the
challenge. See Coach Johnson in C12 for more information
Are you interested in playing baseball this year? Then come to the open gym on
Sundays from 1-2:45 to start getting in shape and maybe learning some new skills.
Attention to anyone planning to attend Blue Lake Fine Art Camp this summer. Mr
Stevens was given 2 scholarships that are each worth $400, which goes towards the
cost of the camp. If you are interested in receiving one of these scholarships, please
see Mr. Stevens in room A-21. The first students to show interest and meet the
requirements will receive these scholarships, so don’t wait.

Winterfest Class nominations will be Tuesday, January 30th during all three lunches in
the Cafeteria. Nominees must have a 2.0 GPA or higher and no Category 2 referrals.
Travel club for Japan and Europe will have a meeting on Monday in room A-12 at 2:30
pm to 3:30 pm. Please advise Ms. Van Lieu if you plan on attending. You need your
own transportation home. There will be treats!
Please save the date for the Winter Fest Dance on Friday, Feb 9th – the last regular school dance of the year- as Prom is for Juniors and Seniors. It will be after the basketball game is $5.00. Tickets will begin to be sold in a few weeks.

Your AP Scholar for today is JT Mitchell! JT is a senior and has successfully completed
AP US History and AP US Government. He is currently taking AP Chemistry and AP
Calculus. Since the workload of his AP classes is more strenuous JT has learned how
to manage his time more effectively and feels better prepared for college. He would
recommend taking AP Government because Mr. Wright is a great teacher and you learn
