Chess Club meets today after school in Room D10.

A  meeting of the National English Honor Society is scheduled today at 2:30pm in room B-12. All current and applying members are expected to attend. For more information, see Dr. Pickell (pronounced pick-HELL) in room B-12.

There will be AAC Wed and Thursday this week.  Thursday there will be testing room in K12.  Make sure that you bring work to complete. 

There will be no AAC on Monday, January 14th due to a staff meeting.  Please catch your bus since there will be no staff available to help you.

Loy Norrix Forensic Team – Please remember to attend the all team meeting on THURSDAY from 2:30-4 in J11. Please bring your pieces! See Coach Carrow with any questions.

Looking for some excitement to start this first week back from winter break? Come on over to Wings West for Loy Norrix Student Night! Bring your current Loy Norrix ID to the gate you will be admitted for Free.  Cheer your Kalamazoo United Hockey team to a win against Portage Central tonight, he game starts at 7:30. .  The “Knight” force on the ice is comprised of Berkley Cox, Maxwell Byrd, Sean Mason, and Gavin Pittman, Parker Remelius, Nolan Tribu and Josh Schaefer.  Good luck guys!

There’s going to be a meeting for the Young Democrats of Loy Norrix Club this Friday from 7am till 7:30am in Ms. William’s room A-14. All are welcome to join.

Softball open gyms will be every Sunday from 3-5 pm starting on Sunday 1/13. See Coach Johnson in room C12 if you have any questions.

CIS is looking to start up a Grief/Loss Counseling group.  The group will be 4-8 students and will meet once a week.  If you are interested please come see Mr. Baker or Ms. Naz in the CIS offices in the B-Wing.

Save the date for the last regular dance of the year- WINTERFEST 2019 which will be on Friday, Feb 8th after the basketball game.

Your AP Scholar for today is: Robert Isacksen. Robert is a senior & has completed AP US History, AP Spanish, AP Calculus, AP Computer Science, & AP Language & Composition. He is currently taking AP Chemistry, AP Psychology, AP Statistics, & AP Biology. Robert feels that his AP classes have taught him how to manage his time more effectively & not procrastinate. He would recommend both AP Language & AP US History because they have awesome teachers & interesting content. He has applied to both U of M & Michigan State & plans to study either computer science or engineering.
