There will be EZ Way driver ed classes today, Tuesday.

SENIORS! Want to be in the senior video? Stop by the main hallway conference room
during your lunch on this Thursday to have your chance to be featured in the 2019
senior video that will be shown at graduation.  Don’t miss out!

There will be no AAC this week on Wednesday, Thursday or Friday.  There will be AAC
today, Tuesday. Next week there will be AAC on Tuesday and Thursday.  There is NO
AAC on Monday or Wednesday.  Thursday, February 14th will be the next testing room.

Hey Sports Fans – come cheer on your Loy Norrix KU Hockey players;  Berkley Cox,
Josh Schaefer, Max Byrd, Parker Remelius, Sean Mason, and Nolan Tribu at Wings
West in a league face-off against Mattawan on Wednesday, Feb. 6th.  The first puck
drop is at 5:15. Cost at the gate is $5.00 unless you have purchased a Hockey season
pass.  See you are the ICE!

The Kellogg Community College Financial Aid Office is holding their 5th annual
Scholarship Fair!  This years event is scheduled for Wednesday, February 5, 2019 from
11:00 am to 4:00 pm in the Student Center.  This event helps students receive
scholarship information and resources available to help with college costs.  Please
contact your counselor if you have any questions.

Due to some confusion with winterfest voting we have extended the voting until
Wednesday at 1pm. The site you will need to go to is voting4schools.com and once in
the site you can search for Loy Norrix and use your student ID as your username and
your birthday as your password. Go to the Athletic office and speak with Mr. Rickli if you
have any questions.

Peacejam will be going to El Sol to make Valentines with the students on Thursday
February 7 th . We will meet at Mrs. May's office in the Cwing right after school.

Attention all Sophomores and Juniors. The third 90 Network Program is looking for 10
students who are highly motivated, positive attitude, make good grades, work well in a
team setting, responsible, and not afraid to try new things.  The Third 90 program gives
students an opportunity to participate in meaningful projects in environmental
sustainability along with college faculty and college students. The team will make 2
visits to the Kalamazoo Nature Center, 2-3 college campus visits and 2 after-school
workshops.   If you are interested please pick up an application in M14, Mrs. Youngs
room. The deadline to submit an application is Friday, February 15th.

The WinterFest Dance, “Way-Back Winter Knight” is on Friday, Feb 15th after the
basketball game- it was bumped back due to snow days. This year, the dance is going
to be a Sadie Hawkins dance, that means young ladies ask guys to the dance. Having a
date is not a requirement to attend the dance.  We hope to see you all at this Way-Back
Winter Knight WinterFest dance.

Your AP Scholar for today is: Nadia Foster! Nadia is a senior & has completed AP
Psychology. Since the workload of AP classes is similar to a college class, she feels
better prepared for college next year. She also feels that taking an AP classes helped
improve her study habits. Nadia has applied to Alabama A&M, CMU, Ferris State,
Wayne State, Grand Valley, & Oakland & plans on studying nursing or business.
